Kyle Fossman scores 39 points to lead the Bears over the Grizzlies, 65 to 52. Ame Cornacchione Pitches in 10 with 8 boards.
They were in the Wells Fargo Sports Complex at UAA on Thursday (but will play to night at the Sullivan Arena). Kyle played a very strong game hitting 61% (14 of 23) from the field. Grace Christian is private school located in Anchorage and has a 9-12 enrollment of nearly 250 students. The GC girls played Edgecumbe in the same facility just before this game.
Ame scored 10 points as he held 6-8 center Kellan Moll to just six points (Kellan will be playing for Seattle Pacific in the fall).
They play again tonight in the Sullivan Arena against Eilson who lost last year to Petersburg in the championship game by two points.
A few cheerleaders stayed on to cheer: Elizabeth B., Kelsi G, Tiffany M., Jordan P., and Rene M. Cheerleading Coach Teri Podsiki is flying down to Ohio to be with her father who is undergoing surgery.
